The SAP Center in San Jose, affectionately known as “The Shark Tank,” is a premier venue that offers a memorable experience for both sports and entertainment events. Its modern design ensures that there isn’t a bad seat in the house, providing excellent sightlines for attendees. The arena boasts a variety of food options, including local favorites like Smoking Pig BBQ and Umai Sushi, catering to diverse tastes . Attending Disney on Ice at the SAP Center is a delightful experience for families. The show features a captivating lineup of Disney characters, with performances from favorites like Frozen, Moana, and Toy Story. The skaters’ energy and the engaging music create an enchanting atmosphere that resonates with both children and adults . However, it’s worth noting that some attendees have expressed concerns about the high prices of concessions and merchandise during the event. Items like cotton candy and toys are priced significantly higher than average, which can add up quickly for families . Tips for a Great Experience: Seating: While front-row seats offer proximity to the action, some parents have found them too close for young children. Opting for seats a few rows back may provide a better viewing experience . Arrival: Arriving early can help you avoid parking hassles and give you time to explore the arena’s offerings. Budgeting: Be prepared for higher-than-average prices on food and merchandise. Setting expectations with children beforehand can help manage spending. Overall, the SAP Center provides a comfortable and engaging environment for events like Disney on Ice. With a bit of planning, families can enjoy a magical evening filled with cherished memories.

SAP Center: The Ultimate Hockey Experience in the Heart of San Jose SAP Center, also known as "The Shark Tank," is an iconic arena that stands as the heart of San Jose's sports scene. Home to the NHL’s San Jose Sharks, the venue offers one of the best live sports experiences, especially for hockey fans. Having attended games in 2019 and 2024, my experiences at SAP Center have been nothing short of surreal. The energy inside the arena is electrifying, and there's truly nothing like the experience of watching the Sharks play in their home turf. Whether it’s the roar of the crowd or the intensity of the game, the atmosphere inside SAP Center is unmatched. The arena’s focus on the fan experience is evident from the moment you walk through the doors. From friendly and helpful staff to efficient entry and exit procedures, every aspect is geared towards making your visit as smooth and enjoyable as possible. The staff is consistently professional, ensuring that fans feel welcome and attended to at all times. When it comes to amenities, SAP Center does not disappoint. The restrooms are always clean, which is a relief during high-traffic events. Food options are diverse, offering everything from traditional stadium fare to more gourmet choices. Whether you're craving a quick snack or a more filling meal, there’s something to satisfy everyone’s taste buds. SAP Center is centrally located in San Jose, making it easy to get to from various parts of the city. With plenty of parking options nearby and public transit access, getting to and from the arena is a breeze. The surrounding area also offers many dining and entertainment options, making it a great place to visit before or after a game. SAP Center is one of the best arenas for hockey, providing fans with a top-tier experience. From the game-day atmosphere to the excellent facilities, it's clear that this venue is dedicated to its fans. If you’re a Sharks fan or just a hockey enthusiast, attending a game here is an experience you won’t want to miss.

I had a great time at the Shark Tank. It was a fun intimate atmosphere for hockey. The staff was friendly, seating was comfortable, and the visuals were great. I would absolutely love to go back some day.

I had a good time at the SAP Center. It's an arena lacking some colour, the overall arena aesthetic could use some work, more teal preferably, it's one of the best primary colours in the NHL! The state of the sharks in 2025 meant a light crowd but the fans that did show up were passionate and made the experience fun! While maybe not a must-see NHL Arena, I think it does the job for the sharks.

So this was the first time my wife and I brought our youngest daughter to see the sharks. We parked the lot across the street from the arena. Parking was a little expensive. But that’s to be expected. Lines were quick to get through the metal detectors and into the arena. Didn’t take too long to get through the lines to get food found our seats and really enjoyed the game. My daughter really enjoyed it. The experience was fun. Can’t wait to go back and see another game.

We had a great time watching some hockey food, which was good. The bathrooms were clean, and everyone was so helpful and friendly. We took A lyft and dropped us off across the street from the entrance. Parking was the average price for an event. Easy walk to downtown after the game for food and drinks

Went to the Shark Tank on Now Years Eve this year. What an amazing experience through out the evening. From the staff making it smooth as possible to enter, to the all of the staff and vendors inside greeting everyone. This truly was a memorable experience. Thank you everyone at the SAP Center.

Great place to watch the sharks game! Good food choices (expensive/expected), parking is convinient ($40) if you wanna pay less than patk miles away! Lol, overall the facilities were good/standard.

The SAP Center a.k.a. The Shark Tank is home to the NHL’s San Jose Sharks. I’m from NYC so I have to be real careful not to commit blasphemy here, but I had the extreme good fortune to play hockey at the SAP Center before a Sharks game and it was an absolute blast. The facilities are modern and clean and well-maintained, the staff is friendly and helpful in a way us New Yorkers are admittedly not hard-wired for, there are solid concessions options for food and drinks, and objectively, it is a fantastic place to watch a hockey game. Hard to have a bad time with a bunch of dudes skating out of a sharks mouth, shark-shaped zambonis, and free Taco Bell when your team scores 3 goals.

12/11 marks my first time coming to the SAP center for a concert. It is straight forward and easy to get to your seats. Easy as navigating The Golden One Center in Sacramento. I drove 2 hours and every penny was worth seeing Billie Eilish. I plan to attend more concerts here in the future

Home of the San Jose Sharks! NHL team! It's also called as shark tank! It's in the downtown San Jose! Close by from all the bars, San Pedro Square! Parking is nearby, and all around the shark tank! Experience the game in the Penthouse Lounge! Nothing like it, all inclusive of food and any liquor 🥃 you want!

Worst arena experience I’ve ever had. People sat in our seats. We tried to be nice by sitting a row ahead until patrons arrived. They continued to kick the seat of our 2 years old, which we bought a seat for. Once confronted they were rude. When supervision was notified, they were asked to move back a row. Not go to the seats they purchased. We drove three hours and purchased tickets for a horrible experience.

We had an amazing time watching Justin Timberlake. Everything was well-organized, and we didn't have to wait in any lines. Safe.

What a beautiful building! I enjoyed my 1st hockey game here today. The weather was gorgeous. The seat tickets were cheap but extremely tight seatings. You'd have to get up for your neighbors to walk by. Other than that, the food was okay. There were plenty of drinks, alcohol and non alcohol. There were self checkout for some snack stations. There was plenty of vendors with merchandise to sell. There was even an ice cream and taco vendor. I will definitely be back with my kids.

The Sharks game was awesome! I loved how the arena really glowed with the lights, San Jose won 2 to 1, they played great music, and the arena itself was beautiful! Without doubt I strongly recommend going if you are in San Jose! Have a great day!🏒🥅❤️⛸️😃🦈🇺🇸

Absolutely amazing venue to host a party at. I was fortunate enough to spend the evening in one of the Penthouse Suites. The food was amazing with dishes of chicken, ribs, pork slices, and pizza. They waited until all the guests arrived and brought amazing platters of Sushi. There was a huge tub of delicious popcorn to snack on all game long. I went there for a Sharks game and was grateful to see them finish with a 2-1 victory over the Winnipeg Jets. How wild is it to say I saw the Sharks battle the Jets on ice. A rather Shakespearean affair set up with a dramatic evening. All the world is truly a Stage and we are merely players as the playwright would say. I highly recommend obtaining a parking pass for the ABC lot because it made life so much easier pulling in and leaving. The people at the ticket were kind and courteous at the entrance and carried the smiles as we left as well. SAP Center really is a top notch venue for entertainment. It was my first, but it will not be my last time. Thanks for a great time.
